Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal registered a hugely important win against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Arsenal got the better of Manchester City 1-0 in North London in the Premier League.
Brazil international winger Gabriel Martinelli scored the only goal of the game in the 86th minute.
It was a deflected effort.
There was nothing much between the two sides.
It was a disappointing game as well.

But, I have to say that the two defences were brilliant.
And, Gary Neville has noted two Arsenal players who did really well against Manchester City.
The former Manchester United defender was on co-commentary duty for the match on Sky Sports Premier League.
Gary Neville praises Arsenal duo William Saliba and Gabriel
Neville has said that Arsenal defenders William Saliba and Gabriel were brilliant.
Saliba and Gabriel were the two centre-backs for the Gunners.
Neville said on his podcast: “I think the two centre-backs for Arsenal were excellent and did really well.
“I thought Saliba and Gabriel were outstanding in the first half.
“I thought they stood up when the rest of the Arsenal team were struggling mentality.”
My View: Saliba and Gabriel big players for Arsenal
Manchester City have (arguably?) the most lethal attacking unit in the Premier League.
It is not easy to keep the City attackers at bay, especially star striker Erling Haaland.
But, Arsenal centre-backs Saliba and Gabriel did just that.
France international centre-back Saliba dealt well with Haaland and kept the Norwegian star quiet.
While Gabriel could have done better with his passing at the back, he was very strong when it came to the actual ‘defending’.
