Some Tottenham fans on social media have been getting excited after Football London’s report linking them with a move for Lewis Dunk.
The Brighton centre-back is said to have his admirers at Tottenham, and he’s been listed as one of three defenders on the club’s radar ahead of the summer window.
Dunk isn’t the most glamourous signing Spurs could make. After all, he’s a domestic centre-half from Brighton, but he is proven at this level and we all know how good he can be.
The report states that Spurs want a leader at the back, and the Brighton captain would certainly provide a level of leadership at the heart of Tottenham’s defence.
Of course, the Seagulls won’t be keen to let him go cheaply, and he’s only recently signed a new long-term deal at the Amex, so they are in a position of power.
Whether or not this deal gets done remains to be seen, but if Tottenham can get this one over the line, it will certainly be a popular move.
