Former West Brom forward Peter Odemwingie has spoken out on his attempts to find a new club.

Just a few years ago Peter Odemwingie was making the headlines as a star striker for West Bromwich Albion, even managing scoring a hat-trick against their bitter rivals Wolves. He could do no wrong and was in the form of his life, but if you fast forward to the present day the 35-year-old is now without a club after being released by Stoke City at the end of last season.
As reported by Sky Sports, the Nigerian has spoken out on his search for a new footballing home.
Odemwingie is set to be one of the focuses in Sky Sports’ upcoming documentary ‘Out of Contract’ that will follow a handful of players who are looking to find a new club.
“I’m a free agent for the first time in my career. It’s been a quiet summer. I’m waiting for offers to come in, the priority is to stay in the country but realising my age and I’m not a future prospect for any team that will take me on. But I’m definitely a good addition to a squad.” says Odemwingie.

“I have a father-in-law that’s very helpful. He’s a big football fan. He keeps saying you need to be proactive and most of the tips he gives me about clubs, Hull was one of them, he sent me an article through Whatsapp and said ‘Tell your agent to ring them up!'”
That phone call led to a trial with the Tigers, however following the exit of Steve Bruce the deal ended up falling through.

Odemwingie made the headlines a few years ago when he decided to drive to Queens Park Rangers on deadline day in order to try and initiate a deal with the club, exposing himself to ridicule from a parade of football fans online.
Some may see the irony of this situation and laugh, but with three children to care for the hope for many is that the Nigerian finds somewhere to prove his talents.
