Sky Sports pundit David Prutton was speaking live on Sky Sports Now at 10:56 am, and discussed Sheffield Wednesday’s hopes of forcing their way into the Championship play-off spots.
The Owls have produced a mixed bag of performances and results this season, winning four, losing three and drawing two of their opening nine league games.
Prutton, who made 56 league appearances for Wednesday, spoke to Sky Sports, and highlighted the areas that the Hillsborough outfit need to improve in if they are to push their way up the table:
Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal
“They have to be more consistent. It’s game management. They are now a scalp to be shot at, and it’s about managing their expectations, plus living up to the expectations of the team that got to the play-off final.”
The South Yorkshire outfit take on Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park tonight, and a win could take them inside the top-six.

Carlos Carvalhal’s men have improved in recent weeks, with three wins from their last four games, but they will need to start producing that kind of form on a more regular basis if they are to at least match last season’s sixth place finish.
Following their game against Blackburn tonight, Wednesday face a tricky run in the league with a home game against Brighton & Hove Albion, followed by back-to-back away fixtures against Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City respectively.
