Daniel Levy has made some cracking decisions at Tottenham Hotspur.
In fact, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has arguably been Spurs’ best signing of the past few years and Levy effectively only spent around £3 million on him – it was £15 million, but they also sent Kyle Walker-Peters the other way in a £12 million deal.
But the Tottenham chairman has made some poor decisions on the transfer front too.
And one major gaffe has been exposed in a pretty big way.
According to The Telegraph, Aston Villa now value Jack Grealish at £100 million following his brilliant start to the Premier League season.
Grealish was heavily linked with a move to North London back in 2018 and somewhat bizarrely, was valued at only £6 million due to the Villans’ financial issue [The Sun].
The Independent claimed that the Tottenham chief offered only £3 million and Josh Onomah in exchange for Grealish in what now looks a massive error.
After starring for England these past few months, Grealish’s star is rising in a big way and it must seriously hurt Levy – and fans of the North London club – that they could and probably should have had a player of this quality for mere peanuts.
