The 26-year-old is impressing in Italy at the moment.

Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to sell Iago Falque for £4 million to Genoa two years ago looked like a very good deal at the time.
The Spanish winger, who was signed for just £870,000 from Juventus, made only one Premier League appearance during his three-year spell on Spurs’ books.

All things considered, £4 million (according to The Standard) represented a tidy bit of business by Tottenham, but fast forward 26 months since his sale and the 26-year-old may be on his way to becoming worth a lot more than that.
That is because Falque, now with Torino, is one of Serie A’s stand-out players so far in the 2016-17 campaign after netting four times in five league outings.
He also scored or set up five of his club’s last six goals in Italy’s top flight. Only six players have scored more than him this season, but four of those are Gonzalo Higuain, Mauro Icardi, Carlos Bacca and Edin Dzeko – all strikers.

Early days, of course, but on this form he looks like smashing his 11-goal haul with Genoa two years ago. If and when he does, his valuation may spike in time for next summer.
Even if it does, it doesn’t mean that Tottenham made the wrong decision to sell him, because there is likely a perfectly good reason as to why he made one Premier League appearance.
Dazzling in Italy does not mean the same would have been true in England.
But he would have impressed some Tottenham fans for his various Europa League performances, and they’ll be happy to see him land on his feet, even though it did not work out at White Hart Lane.
