Lord Sugar was not pleased with Tottenham Hotspur’s home defeat to West Bromwich Albion and was shocked by Manchester United’s collapse at Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar was not impressed with Spurs’ performance against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
The North London club were expected to pick up all three points against the Baggies at White Hart Lane in the Premier League, but they slipped up and went down 1-0.
James Morrison’s second-half header proved to be the difference between the two sides, as West Brom recorded their first win of the season and moved off the bottom of the table.
It was also the Baggies’ first victory at Tottenham in 30 years, forcing Mauricio Pochettino’s side down to ninth in the standings with just seven points from five matches.
Spurs are still only two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, but Lord Sugar wants Gunners manager Arsene Wenger to switch to White Hart Lane.
Lord Sugar is (probably?) not serious about the Wenger ‘plea’. After all, he knows all about the intense rivalry between Tottenham and Arsenal, and it is very unlikely that the Frenchman will ever agree to such a move.
