Reported Liverpool target Adama Traore is the fastest player ever, according to quotes from the Wolverhampton Wanderers star’s former Aston Villa teammate Carles Gil on Goal.com.

According to Todofichajes, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has personally called the Wolves star and has been in touch with the 24-year-old, who is valued at £60 million, as reported by The Sun.

The Spaniard is one of the most improved players in the Premier League and is a key figure at Wolves, and there is no surprise that the Reds reportedly want him.

Gil played with Traore at Villa, and the New England Revolution attacking midfielder has raved about the winger, and believes that he could be the fastest player ever.

Goal.com quotes Gil as saying about Traore: “He is a phenomenon. You will see nothing similar with his characteristics: powerful, speed… no doubt, he is the quickest in the world.

“I have always talked to friends; I don’t know if there has been as quick a player ever. Because we all would know him. It is just insane.”

Good signing for Liverpool?

While speculation that Liverpool manager Klopp has spoken to Traore should be taken with a pinch of salt, what is clear is that the winger would be a brilliant signing for the Reds.

Traore scores goals, creates chances, and can be a constant threat to opposition defenders, and he would make the Merseyside outfit a better team.
