Christian Vieri has intimated that reported Liverpool target Kalidou Koulibaly is better than Virgil van Dijk.

Van Dijk is considered the best defender in world football after finishing runner-up behind Lionel Messi in the Ballon d’Or stakes last year.
But the legendary Italian hitman believes that Koulibaly is a stronger centre-back than the Reds stalwart.
When asked during an Instagram Live chat to name his top three centre-backs in the world, Vieri opted for Sergio Ramos, Giorgio Chiellini and, of course, Koulibaly, according to Arena Napoli.
The truth is that Van Dijk is the stronger of the two players; not only because he finished runner-up for the Ballon d’Or, but because he’s the same age as Koulibaly and achieved much more.
Both players turn 29 this summer and while Van Dijk is a Champions League winner and potentially soon to be a Premier League champion too, Koulibaly hasn’t become a household name until arguably last season.
Still, Liverpool fans would love both in the same team nevertheless.
