Stan Collymore has predicted on Twitter that Liverpool will not win the Premier League title, and he has also given his verdict on Arsenal.

The former Liverpool striker believes that Manchester City will win the league title this season.

The former England international also does not think that Arsenal are competitive enough, although he has praised head coach Mikel Arteta.

When asked for his prediction about the top four this season, Collymore named City first, then Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Title race this season

Liverpool were head and shoulders above the rest of the teams in the Premier League last season.

However, City will not give up so easily this season, and manager Pep Guardiola will be determined to wrestle back the league title.

Liverpool have a very strong team, but they need to sign a couple of players to make themselves stronger, especially as City have added Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake to their squad.

Arsenal for top four?

While it is hard to see Arsenal challenge for the Premier League title this season, the Gunners will certainly be in the race for the top four.

Daniel Ceballos is back on loan from Real Madrid, Willian has joined on a free transfer, and Gabriel has moved from Lille, and Arteta has a stronger squad this time around.
