Tottenham Hotspur currently sit in second position in the Premier League table.
Swansea City’s Tom Carroll
Swansea midfielder Tom Carroll spoke to reporters ahead of tonight’s game against his former club Spurs, and opened up on what he believes Mauricio Pochettino will be telling his players with regards to the Premier League title race, as quoted by ESPN.
The 24-year-old swapped north London for Wales during the January transfer window, when he moved to the Liberty Stadium for a fee believed to be in the region of £4.5 million, and he has already established himself as a first-team regular for Paul Clement’s side.
The midfielder began his career with Tottenham as a trainee in 2010, but actually made more appearances during his four separate loan spells away from the club than he did for the Lilywhites.
But Carroll worked closely with Pochettino over the past two-and-a-half years, and got to know the Argentine extremely well.
He told reporters how his former club are bang in the title race, and how that is the exact message that the Spurs boss will be giving his players, as quoted by ESPN:

“Knowing the manager there I am sure he will be telling the lads the title race is very much on. Last year was a good year for them, they were close and they have top-class players.”
Tottenham are currently seven points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, but with the Blues facing a tricky game against Manchester city tonight, Pochettino’s side could close the gap with all three points against the Swans.
That will be no easy feat, however, with the Welsh team looking like a far more solid outfit since Clement’s appointment in January.
