Tottenham Hotspur have been rocked as Harry Kane has allegedly asked the club to let him leave this summer.
Sky Sports reported on Monday night that Kane has communicated his desire to leave at the end of the season.
Kane has been Tottenham’s hero for many years now, and even just hearing that he could be on the move will leave Spurs fans gutted.
This has been bubbling away for months though, with a firm belief that Kane wants to move on in order to win trophies.
Kane is 27 and has won nothing so far, and has had to watch ex-teammate Kyle Walker celebrate trophy after trophy since leaving Spurs in 2017.
If Kane was to leave, it would almost certainly be in order to win silverware rather than because he hates life at Tottenham or anything like that; he still loves the club and doesn’t want to ruin his relationship with fans, but he wants to win.

Ex-Tottenham Hotspur defender Ramon Vega has taken to Twitter to offer his take, claiming it’s ‘no wonder’ that Kane wants to leave.
Vega noted that he had won more trophies by Kane’s age, seemingly feeling that it’s time for Kane to put himself first moving forward.
Vega did though predict that there is ‘no chance’ Daniel Levy will sell him to an English club, feeling that it’s a move abroad or staying at Spurs for Kane.
