José Enrique has taken to Instagram to aim a dig at Bruno Fernandes when uploading a post about Liverpool’s Diogo Jota.

The Spaniard took aim at the £47 million Manchester United maestro, and also Cristiano Ronaldo when lauding Liverpool’s No.20.

Writing on Instagram, Enrique typed: ‘BREAKING NEWS: Jota is injured. Jota has sustained a back injury after carrying Penaldo and Penandes. How many of you is heart stop? 😂😂😂’

We can’t imagine that Fernandes and Ronaldo will be too impressed by this, although it largely went down well among Liverpool fans in the comments.

However, some were also scared, and blasted Enrique for initially making them believe that Jota was injured again.

In truth, Enrique isn’t exactly lying – Jota is carrying Portugal right now.

The £41 million signing from Wolves scored twice against Serbia on Saturday in the 2-2 World Cup qualifying draw.

While Jota was doing that, Ronaldo walked off the pitch before the game had even finished, while also throwing his nation’s captaincy to the ground after he was denied a goal.

As Portugal’s other world-class stars failed to deliver, it was Liverpool’s terrier-like forward who dragged the game by the scruff of the neck.

The 24-year-old is having a truly incredible campaign, to say the least.

Jota has ten goals in 21 appearances for Liverpool this season, and surely would’ve had even more if not for his lengthy spell on the treatment table.
