The Arsenal forward has been in sensational form this season.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has told talkSPORT that the La Liga giants are not thinking about a move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean has been in stunning form for the Gunners this season with a series of impressive performances already under his belt.

Last weekend saw him putting in a world-class display in the win 5-1 win over rivals West Ham, with him bagging a hat-trick for himself.

Those goals took him to 13 in all competitions for the season, a tally that has solidified his status as the Gunners first choice striker.

With just 18 months on his current deal, Sanchez’s form has sparked worries he could depart in future, although it seems Madrid won’t be a potential destination if Calderon is to be believed.

“I don’t think he will come back,” he told talkSPORT.

“Talking to Real, I don’t think they are thinking about a transfer or a signing. It is too early, they will start thinking about that in May or June.”

“But he is a fantastic player and anyone will be willing to have him in their club.”

Arsenal will certainly be praying that they can get Sanchez to sign a new deal at the Emirates before too long.

His form has been sensational and will not have gone unnoticed by the elite sides around Europe.

Most of those would likely have no problems offering him big money to tempt him away from London.
