Former Rangers winger Vladimir Weiss has taken to Twitter to offer his thoughts on manager Pedro Caixinha’s move to Ibrox.

The Gers have been looking for a new manager for almost a month now, having seen Mark Warburton leave the club in February – and they appear to have got their man.

After weeks of speculation featuring a host of names. Rangers now look set to appoint the little-known Pedro Caixinha as their new manager.

Caixinha is currently the manager of Al-Gharafa, and the Qatari club have today confirmed on their official Twitter account that they have now reached an agreement with Rangers for him to move to Ibrox.

The 46-year-old, who once did scouting work for Celtic, is set to return to Glasgow imminently, and is expected to be in the crowd for this Sunday’s Old Firm derby.

Previously manager of Uniao Leiria, Nacional and Santos Laguna, Caixinha is a relative unknown, but will now walk into the Rangers job and look to close the gap to Celtic – something Warburton struggled to do this season.
