Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers reportedly wanted the English hitman once upon a time.

Rangers fans will finally get to see Devante Cole up close this season – but not in Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Sun reported in January of 2018 that the Gers, then under Graeme Murty, were keen on signing the English striker, son of the legendary Andy Cole.
A move to Scotland never materialised but it has now, with the 24-year-old former Rangers target signing for Motherwell.
Cole has joined the Fir Park side on a six-month loan from Wigan Athletic in the Championship.
It wouldn’t have been a major surprise had Rangers registered an interest once again.
Not only might the light Blues be recruiting another goalscorer this summer to challenge Jermain Defoe and Alfredo Morelos, but the club’s Director of Football Mark Allen, who was pulling the strings on transfers at the time of the previous interest, is still at Ibrox.
Still, Cole isn’t the type of striker that Rangers will be targeting now.
The Glasgow giants are set to lose Kyle Lafferty, which means that Gerrard and Allen might be after a tall, imposing and physical front man to act as a plan-b when Morelos and Defoe are thwarted in certain games.
