Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers need a new manager and Tony Pulis is now available.
Steven Thomson has told BBC Sport’s Facebook page that he does not believe Tony Pulis will be tempted by Rangers.
The 59-year-old manager is now available after West Bromwich Albion sacked him on Monday.
Rangers have been without a manager since Pedro Caixinha’s dismissal last month, with Alex McLeish and Derek McInnes among those touted for the job.
But Pulis’s sudden availability has prompted suggestions on social media that the former Stoke boss could also find himself in the reckoning.
Asked on BBC Sport’s Facebook page whether he could be an option, Thomson said: “Not for me”.
Pulis would be a superb appointment, but Rangers need to hire somebody soon and the former West Brom boss find well take a break from the spotlight for a bit.
Graeme Murty has taken charge of the Gers’ last three Premiership games, winning the first two comfortably but a shock 2-0 defeat by Hamilton at Ibrox on Saturday might have put paid to his hopes of landing the role on a long-term basis.
