Goss has returned to parent club QPR after his loan spell at Ibrox with Rangers.
Former Rangers midfielder Sean Goss has jokingly suggested that James Tavernier has put weight on, when commenting on Wes Foderingham’s Instagram post.
Tavernier and Foderingham are currently in Andalucia in Spain on a training camp, as Steven Gerrard puts his side through their paces ahead of their opener on July 12 in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.
Goalkeeper Foderingham – whose place in the side is under threat following the signing of Allan McGregor – posted three pictures on Instagram that included 26-year-old Tavernier, new signing Connor Goldson and Daniel Candeias.
During his loan spell north of the border, ball-playing midfielder Goss made 15 appearances for the Gers, scoring two goals and laying on two assists.
Goss commented on the post, saying “some belly that” before mentioning his former teammate Tavernier who is one of the front runners to be named Rangers captain under Gerrard.
Rangers are yet to find out who they will face on July 12, before a return leg a week later. However, their Scottish Premiership campaign begins with a trip to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen.
They then play host to newly-promoted St. Mirren and travel to Motherwell, before the first Old Firm derby of the season against Celtic on September 9.
