The centre-back had a mixed first and last season at Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.

Bruno Alves wasn’t a roaring success at Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.
Rangers signed the veteran Portugal international in the summer of 2017 as Pedro Caixinha’s marquee addition of that transfer window.
There were times when the 37-year-old looked the part and, well, there were times when he didn’t. Alves joined Serie A side Parma last summer and suffice to say that he has landed on his feet.
He has started 28 top-flight league games for the famous Italian club this season and received a lot of adulation on Twitter yesterday.
That is because Alves fired home a wonderful free kick in the 87th minute of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with AC Milan.
Rangers fans know just how devastating he can be from dead-ball situations, and here’s how neutral supporters on Twitter reacted to his fine equaliser.
It’s the second free kick that the former Gers rock has scored this season and for someone so big, he clearly excels in this area.
