Brendan Rodgers, Manager of Celtic looks on prior to the UEFA Europa League Group B match between Celtic and RB Leipzig at Celtic Park on November 8, 2018 in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Celtic dropped points against Livingston at the weekend as they could only muster a 0-0 draw.

It was a big result for Livingston, who sit seventh in the Scottish Premiership table.

Former Rangers midfielder Jordan Thompson was impressed, following his spell on loan at Livingston last season, helping them to win promotion.

Thompson posted on Twitter: “Some result for the boys!!”

Thompson was released by Rangers in the summer and signed for Blackpool, and has since earned a senior Northern Ireland cap.

Celtic were heavy favourites to win the game against Livingston, especially after their Europa League victory.

In the end their exploits against RB Leipzig may have taken too much out of them to break Livingston down.

The point was still enough to lift Celtic to the top of the table over Hearts on goal difference.

Rangers have gained two points on Celtic though, thanks to their 7-1 win over Motherwell.
