Liam Burt is training with Celtic after being released by Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.

Liam Burt has started a game for a Celtic XI this afternoon, months after being released by their Old Firm rivals Rangers.
The 20-year-old midfielder suggested on Instagram that he was training with the Hoops last month after uploading a photo of himself outside the club’s Lennoxtown training base.
Rangers released Burt this summer and it looks like he’s officially on trial with Celtic.
He was one of three trialists to start a game as Tommy McIntyre’s reserve side took on Arbroath this afternoon.
It was Rangers who poached Burt from Celtic originally, with the youngster moving to Auchenhowie in 2014.
The Bhoys, then under Ronny Deila, tried to sign him a year later but to no avail [The Scottish Sun].
The Scotland Under-21 international only managed three league games for the light Blues but, given the volume of quality midfielders that Steven Gerrard has at his disposal, it was always going to be so difficult to break through at Ibrox on a regular basis.
Thing is, he’ll have the same problem at Celtic under Neil Lennon, so it’s fascinating to see how he fares.
