Former Rangers winger Vladimir Weiss has again hinted at wanting a move back to Ibrox.
Former Rangers winger Vladimir Weiss has again taken to Twitter today in order to send a come-and-get-me plea to the Ibrox club.
Weiss, 27, only spent one season with Rangers having joined the club on loan from Manchester City in 2010, but he was a popular figure at Ibrox after scoring five goals in 35 games.
Since his loan deal with Rangers ended in 2011, Weiss has featured for Espanyol, Pescara, Olympiacos, Lekhwiya and now Al-Gharafa, but he has regularly hinted at wanting to re-sign for Rangers.
Vladimir Weiss in action for Rangers
Rumours of a possible move for Weiss particularly gathered pace when Rangers appointed Pedro Caixinha as their new manager in March, given that the pair worked together in Qatar with Al-Gharafa.
Weiss has again been asked about a possible return to Ibrox earlier today, and he responded on Twitter by stating that he would love to return to Rangers, but suggested that it isn’t just up to him.
Rangers fans will again be sparked into a frenzy by suggestions that Weiss could return to Glasgow, but it would be difficult for the Gers to pull of such a move this summer.
Just two months ago, Caixinha admitted to The Scottish Sun that he couldn’t afford to pay a £2.7million fee to bring Weiss back to Ibrox, as much as he may have been interested in a reunion.

Rangers have already spent more than expected this summer, with Transfermarkt noting that they have already spent more than £7million on new signings such as Fabio Cardoso, Carlos Pena and Graham Dorrans.
With no Europa League football as a source of revenue following the embarrassing defeat to Progres Niederkorn, it’s unlikely that Rangers would take their spending towards £10million this summer in order to bring Weiss back – even if he would love a return to Ibrox.
