The 19-year-old is the Scottish Premiership side’s only signing of the summer thus far.
Moussa Dembele
Barry Ferguson has echoed Zinedine Zidane’s view of Celtic’s only signing of the summer Moussa Dembele, the Daily Record reports, having claimed that he has always been impressed when he has watched the forward in the past.
The Frenchman joined the Hoops earlier in the window. And his arrival at Parkhead led to the Real Madrid boss telling the Daily Record that the Scottish Premiership side had signed one of the most exciting prospects in the game.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane had been full of praise for Dembele
Similarly, the former Rangers skipper has hinted that he is confident that the 19-year-old will be a success for the Bhoys based on what he has seen from him so far in his career.
“I read a Record Sport exclusive this week where Zinedine Zidane spoke about the striker’s potential to become a French superstar and that’s praise coming from someone like him,” he told the Record.
“Whenever I’ve watched Dembele he’s looked very, very good and there’s no doubt he’s a talent.”

Although Dembele will have to compete with Leigh Griffiths to lead the line for the side if Brendan Rodgers decides to play just one up front, it is fair to say that it appears that the former Fulham man has made the perfect move at this stage of his career.
Playing for Celtic means that he will always have chances to work off which will allow him to continually develop his game. And if the Hoops qualify for the Champions League, he will also get to test himself against some of the best defenders that Europe has to offer, which will inevitably help make him the kind of player that Zidane and Ferguson expect him to be.
