Argentine midfielder Walter Montoya has slammed the 48-year-old coach and accused him of treating him ‘like trash’ during his stint with the Liga MX side.
The 25-year-old, who hadn’t played under the former Rangers man since September [Soccerway], told The Record in Portugal: “I felt the coach treated me like trash. In training, I felt at my best, but when the games came I was not picked to play.”
Montoya, who only played nine times under him last term, has joined Gremio in Brazil.
Caixinha won only 14 of his 26 games since replacing Mark Warburton in Glasgow nearly two years ago.
