The former Rangers youngster was allowed to leave Ibrox by Steven Gerrard last summer.

The former Rangers midfielder, Grant Nelson, is on the move again, seven months after his release from Ibrox.
Nelson left Rangers without a first-team appearance to his name, having seen his progress stutter due to a serious ankle injury.
And after an unsuccessful trial with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, he later signed for Dundee FC on a short-term deal which expired last month.
But a Glasgow-based soccer scholarship company has come to Nelson’s aid, signing the Rangers academy product to a four-year contract.
According to Route2ProSoccer, he will spend that time playing full-time football and gaining a degree, along with ‘invaluable life experience’.
The Rangers-supporting Ayr United striker, Lawrence Shankland, a Route2ProSoccer ambassador is among those to have congratulated Nelson on his move.
Rangers recently formed a partnership with their namesakes from Montreal in an attempt to enhance the Scottish club’s reputation in North America.
Would Nelson have made it at Rangers but for injury?
