Curtis Woodhouse has claimed that West Ham star Jarrod Bowen is currently better than Arsenal wonderkid Bukayo Saka, after the Hammers ace sparkled against Leicester on Sunday. West Ham snatched a point.

Bowen is on fire. The 25-year-old has already clocked up 35 appearances for West Ham this season, having a hand in a huge 23 goals for David Moyes’ side. Scoring 12 times, he has proved just as creative – laying on 11 assists.

The uncapped English ace has clocked up five goals in his last five games, as well as getting an assist. That came against Leicester, taking the corner in which Craig Dawson headed home – after Bowen had opened the scoring.

His form is attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool – and with England fixtures coming up next month, many are calling for Bowen to get a Three Lions call-up. Woodhouse thinks he is better than Arsenal’s Saka.

Woodhouse on Bowen: West Ham ace better than Arsenal man Saka?

Right now, forgetting age or the team they play for, there is no doubt that Bowen is showing better form than Saka. But a better question might be, who would you rather have currently – Saka or Bowen?

That is a trickier question to answer. Saka is still only 20 years of age, and has scored seven goals in his 27 appearances this season – laying on four assists. He can play on either flank, as a 10 or even as a left-back.

Five years younger than Bowen, Saka is the player you would rather have given form he is showing at a younger age. Micah Richards said Bowen is “mind blowing” on Sky Sports – and right now, he is better than than Saka.
