The former Tottenham midfielder has raved about Bale, who left Spurs for Spanish and European giants Madrid in the summer of 2013.
The Wales international winger has won La Liga once and the Champions League on four occasions with Los Blancos.
However, Bale has struggled for playing time in recent times, with The Daily Star claiming that the 31-year-old’s relationship with his Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane is strained.
Hazard told The Daily Star: “Would I want to see him back in a Tottenham shirt? 100 per cent, without a shadow of a doubt Anyone who says Bale wouldn’t offer Tottenham anything is lying.
“I sincerely hope he gets his career back on track because he’s such a special talent. I have no doubt he still loves the game, but unfortunately his usefulness to Wales is now also impacted by the fact he isn’t playing.
“Usually I’m a great believer in top players not coming back. But in Bale’s case I’m not necessarily against it.”
Unlikely Tottenham Hotspur transfer?
Bale has had injury problems in recent years, but he is now fit and available, and even though he is 31 years of age, he would be a brilliant signing for Tottenham.
However, Spurs are unlikely to manage to come up with the huge wages that Bale earns at Madrid, who will also be looking for a decent transfer fee.
According to The Sun, the Welshman earns £600,000 per week as salary at Madrid.
Meanwhile, former Arsenal star Paul Merson has suggested that Tottenham striker Harry Kane will leave the club for Manchester United this summer if he gets the chance to.
Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “Over 38 games, Harry Kane will score more goals for you than Sancho. I think they have a chance of winning the Premier League if he goes there.
“Would he go? You’d have to ask serious questions of him if he didn’t! Winning trophies is the name of the game and he has a much better chance of doing that at United than Spurs.”
