The Frenchman left the Championship side in dramatic fashion on deadline day.
Moussa Sissoko left Newcastle on deadline day
Former Newcastle United forward Joe Allon has slated Moussa Sissoko’s attitude in the weeks leading up to his move to Tottenham Hotspur and joked about the Frenchman’s disappointing time with the Magpies, the Chronicle reports.
The midfielder completed a deadline day switch to White Hart Lane after seemingly being on the verge of joining Everton on the same day (via BBC Sport).

And now that the £30m switch has gone through, Allon has not held back in his criticism of the way the 27-year-old conducted himself as he looked for a way out of St James’ Park.
“Sissoko’s attitude during his time at Newcastle has been a disgrace – absolutely deplorable,” he told the Chronicle.
Although Allon was clearly not happy with Sissoko’s behaviour as he pushed for a move, he was able to joke about a comment that some Everton fans made when it was clear that he would not be moving to Merseyside, as it resonated with him.

“I had to laugh on deadline day when one Everton fan tweeted saying that Sissoko had gone missing. Newcastle fans weren’t missing their chance with that one and many quickly replied with words to the effect of ‘He’s been missing for years’. That pretty much sums his Newcastle career up,” he added.
And while the 49-year-old is clearly bitter about the Euro 2016 finalist’s actions, he suggested that Newcastle had done an excellent piece of business.
“You’ve got to hand it to Newcastle and Rafa – getting that price for him is great business,” he also told the Chronicle.
Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez
“Sissoko didn’t deserve to wear the Newcastle shirt and quite frankly I’m glad he’s gone.”
While Sissoko can be a player of top flight quality, and thus, may have been an asset to the Magpies’ promotion charge, getting him off their books was surely an excellent move by Rafael Benitez.
The team spirit within the first-team currently appears to be extremely positive, and that would surely only be damaged by the presence of a player who does not want to be amongst them.
So the fact that they have moved him on, and got £30m to potentially reinvest in the squad, should mean that while there is some anger on Tyneside towards Sissoko, his departure may have been the best bit of business they did all window.
