Liverpool suffered a disappointing 1-1 draw against West Ham on Monday night, affecting both Tottenham and Manchester City in the title race.

Joey Barton has told TalkSPORT that he believes “nervousness” is creeping into Liverpool’s squad as they continue to fight with Barton’s former side Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur for the Premier League title.
Liverpool looked a shadow of their normal selves as they drew 1-1 with West Ham United at the London Stadium on Monday night. It sees Manchester City just three points behind Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Spurs also remain in the mix but are five points behind the Reds, as Sadio Mane’s opener was cancelled out by a well-worked Hammers free-kick that resulted in Michail Antonio lashing the ball past Alisson.
Ex-City midfielder Barton, who is the current manager of League One side Fleetwood Town, claimed that the pressure of winning their first title in 29 years is beginning to creep up on Liverpool in the title race.
“If you had asked me before their last two games, I’d have said it was going to Anfield. But now, there’s a nervousness there,” Barton said. “That’s what comes when you haven’t won the title for 29 years.”

There is still a long way to go in the hunt for the Premier League title, with 13 league games and 39 points to play for. Liverpool have dropped just 13 points all season, conceding 15 goals in 25 Premier League matches.
But the Reds are only three points above the current champions and Pep Guardiola’s side know how to win a Premier League trophy. With City in excellent form at the minute, the title race is certainly beginning to hot up.
