John Guidetti only moved to Celta Vigo this summer but has wasted little time in making a big impression with the Spanish outfit.

The season may have yet to kick-off in Spain, but former Manchester City prospect John Guidetti has already seemingly endeared himself to fans of new club Celta Vigo.

A surprise signing for the newly promoted La Liga side, the Sweden international spent last season on loan at Celtic but opted against signing a permanent deal with the Bhoys.

Now in Spain, the 23-year-old has impressed for Celta in pre-season so far, with three goals for his new employers in a series of cameo displays off the bench.

These performances have prompted the fansite Moiceleste.com to dub Guidetti the Microwave.

The nickname references to legendary NBA star Vinnie Johnson, who made a habit of scoring a high number of points in a short space of time.

With Celta Vigo starting the season against Levante on Sunday, Guidetti will be keen to hit the ground running – as he did at Celtic.

Guidetti scored six goals in his first four outings for the Hoops but failed to maintain that kind of form for the rest of the campaign – will things be any different in Spain?
