Newcastle United would be a poor move for Wilfried Zaha, according to former Magpie Peter Ramage.
Ramage said to the Back of the Nest podcast that he believes Zaha could leave Crystal Palace this summer.
But the former Newcastle defender doesn’t think that a switch to St. James’ Park would be a good option for the rapid winger.
“It will be bittersweet. I think Wilf is now at a moment in his career where if he has aspirations to get to that next level in his career, with all due respect to Palace, he is going to leave,” he said.
“Newcastle wouldn’t be a good move for him in that respect and it would obviously be more the financial aspect rather than anything else if he was to come to Newcastle, and we are just talking hypothetically here.

“For me, for Wilf if he wants to break into the top four and Palace have got the ability to do it, but it would be a lot harder for them than those top clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City.”
Zaha has been tentatively linked with Newcastle in recent times in The Sun, and could emerge as a target again under their new owners.
Newcastle are set to become one of the richest clubs in world football when their takeover goes through.
The Magpies appear to have a list of high-profile targets and there is no questioning that Zaha would improve their attack.
The thought of Zaha and Allan Saint-Maximin charging down either flank has to be an exciting prospect for any Newcastle supporter.
But with Palace demanding £80 million (Standard) for their star player, it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will come in with a bid for the Ivory Coast international in the summer.
