Both men will be hoping to feature in Liverpool’s key game with Manchester United on Monday night.
Stan Collymore
Stan Collymore has responded when asked whether he prefers Daniel Sturridge or Liverpool teammate Divock Origi, the Daily Mirror reports.
The pair are arguably the Reds’ two most natural out-and-out striker options, so could have a crucial role to play if Liverpool hope to build on their early success this season and perhaps challenge for the title.

And former Reds striker Collymore has explained which of the pair would get his vote if he was in charge.
“Sturridge,” he told the Mirror when asked to choose between the pair.
Daniel Sturridge
“He’s a better in-box player. Origi reminds me of Michy Batshuayi at Chelsea, there’s a load of potential there but he’s still a raw talent.
“Sturridge has proven what a very good goalscorer he is. There has been lots said about him but if you put an arm round him, tell him he’s the best thing since sliced bread, give him lots of service, his conversation rate is as good as there is in the league.”
Divock Origi
Though Collymore is complimentary about both players’ talents, they will both be surely looking to make greater contributions in the coming months after making slow starts to the campaign.
Neither man has found the back of the net in the Premier League this term. And if Liverpool are to build upon their promising start to the season, they will surely need to break their respective ducks soon, especially as the squad gets stretched during the busy winter period.
But Collymore appears to have no concerns that both men, Sturridge in particular, have the quality to step up their games in the near future.
