Liverpool have impressed of late with a succession of superb performances, but Stan Collymore still doesn’t think they have enough to win the league.
Ex-Liverpool star Stan Collymore has tipped Manchester City to win the Premier League title, ahead of his former club, when writing his column for the Daily Mirror.
The Reds have been in scintillating form of late, and currently sit top of the Premier League table after going on a 12 game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Collymore though still favours City over Jürgen Klopp’s men, highlighting their vast array of world class options as a reason why, when writing his column for the Mirror:
“You have to look at the strength of a club’s first XI, squad depth, whether or not they have a 25-goal-season striker and an ability to keep clean sheets. I considered all those factors when I went for City before a ball had been kicked and I’ve seen nothing to change my mind. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been mightily impressed by Chelsea and Liverpool, who I had finishing second and fourth with Arsenal between them in my pre-season predictions. But the ability Guardiola can draw upon and the ability he has to spend whatever he wants in January still gives City the edge.”

Klopp has been in charge at Anfield for a little over a year, and his impact on the club has been clear for all to see, with their high energy, high-tempo pressing game causing all sorts of problems for the opposition they have faced thus far.
Pep Guardiola’s City have been breathtaking at times, but their failure to beat Middlesbrough, Southampton and Everton at the Eithad has seen them slip to third in the table.
There is still a long way to go though, and in what is surely the most competitive Premier League title race since its’ inception in 1992, realistically, any one of six teams could still end up as champions.
