Leeds United sold Marco Silvestri in 2017.

Marco Silvestri has joined the list of figures to leave Leeds United and beat them to the top flight.
The goalkeeper won promotion to Italy’s Serie A with Hellas Verona on Sunday, keeping a clean sheet in a 3-0 play-off win.
Silvestri was number one at Leeds between 2014 and 2016, and after a year as a back up to Rob Green, Leeds sold him in 2017.
He was forced out the door by Leeds signing Felix Wiedwald, a totally disastrous move.
Silvestri’s first season at Verona was tough, spending most of his time on the bench.
This campaign he has established himself as a regular, and will now get the chance to test himself up against Cristiano Ronaldo and co in Serie A next season.

Former Leeds owner Massimo Cellino recently won promotion to Serie A with Brescia.
He has been linked with a swoop on Leeds for defender Gaetano Berardi, via Brescia Oggi.
Goalkeeper is still a position of uncertainty at Leeds United, with Kiko Casilla letting the Whites down in the play-offs.
Perhaps the club should have stuck with Silvestri all along.
