If only Leeds United could have kept hold of Alfonso Pedraza.

If only Leeds United had managed to keep hold of Alfonso Pedraza.

The Spanish winger spent half a season on loan at Leeds in 2016/17.

He had the makings of a top talent, but the £8 million price tag to sign him from Villarreal was too rich for Leeds.

It might actually have been a bargain.

Check out this sensational solo goal Pedraza scored at the weekend for Villarreal.

Pedraza’s goal was an individual effort Lionel Messi would have been proud of.

Sadly for him, it was not enough to prevent Villarreal slipping to a 3-2 loss to Celta Vigo.

It was the fourth goal Pedraza has scored this season, and easily the pick of the bunch.

If Leeds win promotion to the Premier League, they might want to take a second look at the 22-year-old.
