Leeds United have hit a poor run of form at the worst time possible.

Ex-Whites boss Neil Redfearn spoke to Radio Yorkshire last night, and offered his opinion on why his former club have struggled of late, highlighting Pablo Hernandez’ poor goal return as something that has had a direct impact on Leeds’ failure to turn draws into wins.
Garry Monk’s men have been superb for the majority of the Championship campaign, but have really struggled over this past month, winning just once in their last six outings.
During that period, they have scored just five goals, with three of those coming in the win over Preston North-End.
And Redfearn explained how he believes there is one culprit in particular who deserves criticism for his lack of goals this season, when speaking to Radio Yorkshire:
“You could argue with Hernandez that he’s got his assists. Well, yes that’s great and I get that. But I’ve played that position and I’ve played that role, and if I’d come up with four or five goals from that position I’d be embarrassed to be honest with you. As an attacking midfield player you’ve got to be looking at double figures because that’s your job.”

Redfearn’s criticism of the Spaniard seems to be a little harsh to say the least, with the 32-year-old’s performances being praised from fans and pundits alike on the whole this term.
Whilst the former Leeds boss glossed over the fact that Hernandez has chipped in with his fair share of assists, they cannot just be disregarded.
He has set up eight goals in 33 Championship appearances for the Whites thus far, and along with the five goals he has scored himself, that is not a bad return, and perhaps he deserves a little more credit.
