Redfearn spent seven months as manager of Leeds United.
Ex-Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn is back in football with FA Women’s Super League side Doncaster Rovers Belles.
Redfearn, 52, had been out of work since leaving Rotherham United in early 2016, but returns as Belles head coach.
The South Yorkshire side top their division – which is one below FA WSL 1 – having won four out of six fixtures so far.
Dewsbury-born Redfearn became boss number three of Massimo Cellino’s reign as Leeds owner in October 2015, replacing Darko Milanic after the Serbian’s short-lived Elland Road spell.
He was succeeded by Uwe Rosler only seven months later, however – although Cellino failed to announce Redfearn’s departure from the club initially.
Redfearn, who temporarily returned to his previous role as Leeds’ academy director, became Rotherham’s manager in October 2016, but was sacked the following February.
The former Barnsley midfielder has frequently covered Leeds as a pundit for local radio stations, including BBC Radio Leeds and Radio Yorkshire.
