The former Leeds United striker is a hero in one area of Dublin this morning.

Former Leeds United striker Eoghan Stokes took a big risk earlier this year.
The 22-year-old Irish forward left Leeds in February to join Dublin-based outfit Bohemians on a permanent deal.
Stokes failed to make a single Championship appearance during the six years that he was on the Whites’ books, often impressing in the Under-23 side but failing to earn a promotion.
In March, he referred to the Under-23 system as “fake” and stated that he left the Elland Road club in search of “men’s football” [Evening Herald] – and it looks like it might be paying off.
Bohemians are nowhere near Leeds in terms of profile, but Stokes is finally getting his teeth into senior football and he enjoyed perhaps the biggest moment of his career on Friday night.
The youngster came off the bench and within minutes scored the winning goal in Bohemians’ 1-0 victory away to bitter rivals Shamrock Rovers in Dublin, sending the visiting fans wild.
Leaving a club of Leeds’ stature was a serious gamble, especially for a move to the Irish top flight, but it’s moments like these which likely serve to vindicate his decision.
