Patrick Bamford could make his Leeds United return tonight.

Speaking on LUTV, Ben Parker has tipped Patrick Bamford to prove a point for Leeds United if he plays tonight.

Elland Road plays host as Leeds welcome Derby County in the second leg of a playoff semi-final, with United leading 1-0 on aggregate.

Marcelo Bielsa will have Bamford available again after the £7 million striker [Daily Mail] served a two-match ban for getting Anwar El Ghazi sent off in a fiery clash with Aston Villa last month.

Parker, a former Whites defender, says that Bamford let his team-mates down on that occasion, but believes he could prove a point if Bielsa picks him.

He told LUTV: “He’s going to take Wednesday very seriously. He has a point to prove. He let himself and let the lads down. His performance against Aston Villa as a whole was really positive.”

Bielsa doesn’t have a lot of choice but to start him against Frank Lampard’s side.

The Argentine will be missing Tyler Roberts and Kemar Roofe, both of whom are injured, meaning that Bamford will almost definitely start.

Despite getting a bit of bad press in recent weeks, he can be absolutely lethal up front, as he has shown at times this season, and United will certainly need him at his best.
