Ex Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli lined up for a combustible partnership.

What could possibly go wrong?

Two of football’s most unpredictable and maverick figures could be set to unite in Italy.

Former Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino is lining up an ambitious move to bring Mario Balotelli to Brescia, Tuttomercatoweb report.

Balotelli is notorious for his madcap antics off the pitch, which included having a fight with Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini on the training ground.

Balotelli left English football in 2016, leaving Liverpool for Nice. He is currently at Marseille.

Cellino has a reputation as a ‘manager eater’, for the way he fired more than 30 coaches at former club Cagliari.

He went through six managers at Leeds, and made three managerial changes in his first season back in Italy in Brescia.

Cellino is now hoping to convince Mario Balotelli in Serie B.

It could be a complete disaster, but then again the idea could be so crazy it might just be successful.
