Danny Gabbidon has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that Liverpool winger Harry Wilson could join Cardiff City today.

According to Sky Sports, Cardiff have agreed a loan fee with Liverpool regarding the Wales international winger.

The Bluebirds are also interested in securing the services of Barnsley forward Cauley Woodrow on transfer deadline day, according to BBC Sport.

Former Cardiff and Wales international defender Gabbidon has given his take on speculation that Wilson – and Woodrow – could move to the Championship club before the summer transfer window closes at 5pm today.

Good move for Harry Wilson?

Wilson was going to struggle for playing time at Liverpool this season, as the Reds have a very strong attacking unit and world-class players in Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

The 23-year-old Wales international needs to play regular first-team football at this stage of his career, and he would get that – or at least stand a better chance of getting that – at Cardiff.

The Bluebirds are an ambitious club who are targeting promotion to the Premier League, and Wilson would play in a very competitive environment.
