Joe Worrall is on loan at Rangers and a former Ibrox assistant backs the defender.

Former Rangers and Nottingham Forest assistant David Weir has given his backing to Gers loanee Joe Worrall.
Worrall is on loan at Ibrox from Forest and his performances have come in for criticism from Rangers fans in recent weeks.
Weir worked under Mark Warburton at both Forest and Rangers as well as playing for the Glasgow side and believes Worrall has what it takes to be successful in Scotland.
He told the Evening Times: “Joe Worrall’s a young a player but he’s definitely got the mentality and ability to play at Rangers.
“He’ll enjoy the challenge and embrace it and want to win. If he makes a mistake or has a bad day then it won’t affect him too much. He’ll get back on with his job.
“He’s playing in Europe for England at a younger age group so he has had the exposure and I know they rate him highly in the international set-up. Joe’s not the finished article but he’s got all the attributes to develop and is a really positive signing.”

Worrall has displaced summer signing Nikola Katic in the starting line up, who had begun the season well.
He has been partnering Connor Goldson in defence, who Weir praised for his ‘calm and consistent’ performances.
Weir has worked with Worrall at Forest and knows what he is capable of and his words should carry some weight.
Worrall did play a part in keeping a clean sheet at the weekend. His biggest threat could be from a finally fit Gareth McAuley, who is hoping to make his debut after featuring for the development squad last week.
