Frank Lampard’s Derby County will travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds United in the second leg of the playoff semi-final. Leeds only need a draw to go onto the finals at Wembley and based on what has happened between the two this season, it is a huge possibility.

Leeds and Derby have faced each other three times so far this season and Marcelo Bielsa’s side have picked up the victory on all three occasions. The Whites certainly have the advantage and former star Tony Dorigo has questioned Frank Lampard’s plans ahead of the game.

Dorigo slammed the Rams boss stating that he is still waiting to see Lampard come up with a plan to beat Leeds this season. He claimed that Derby struggle to play when not allowed possession and he hopes that Lampard changes something for the game at Elland Road.

Speaking ahead of the game in LUTV’s preview show, Dorigo said: “Obviously Frank Lampard has been thinking about it since the first game, ‘what can I do?’ and he has not come up with a solution that I can see.

“They are very much a ball playing side, they like to have possession, but sometimes when you take it away from them, they think we don’t normally play like this and they struggle.

“It is going to be difficult for them and they need to change something. Like every game, the first goal is important. If they can get the first goal, then maybe you can see them play slightly differently.”

Lampard will not want his poor streak against Leeds to continue on Wednesday and he will have to get his tactics right to outwit Bielsa. Only a win is good enough for the Rams, and even that might not be enough should they win 1-0 and go to penalties.
