Former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo believes that Fernando Torres makes more sense at AC Milan than Mario Balotelli.
Fernando Torres could make his AC Milan debut this weekend and Argentine legend Hernan Crespo feels he was a shrewd signing.
Milan were busy towards the end of the summer transfer window, selling Mario Balotelli to Liverpool and replacing him with Chelsea’s Torres on a two-year loan.
Torres has been greeted with enthusiasm by the Milan fans and may get his first chance to impress them this weekend when the Rossoneri travel to Parma.
Crespo, who played for both Milan sides as well as Chelsea, thinks Torres could fit in well with coach Pippo Inzaghi’s plans.
“Balotelli is a champion who can change a game with one touch but you can’t ask for consistency from him.”
Milan opened their campaign with a 3-1 win over Lazio before Torres arrived, so Inzaghi may opt not to change a winning side and bring Torres on from the bench.
