Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers sent Zak Rudden out on loan to Falkirk, who have reportedly taken Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers’s side Anton Rodgers on loan.

Back in the summer of 2017, Anton Rodgers was on trial at Celtic. The son of Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers played for the Glasgow giants against BW Linz in a pre-season friendly in Australia in June 2017.

The 25-year-old midfielder was on trial at Celtic for a short period of time, and the former Brighton and Hove Albion prospect was not handed a contract by the Scottish Premiership side.

Rodgers moved to Hungerford Town in November 2017, but he is without a club at the moment and is reportedly on trial at Falkirk in the Scottish Championship.

According to The Herald, Falkirk have taken Rodgers on trial, with the midfielder playing the entire 90 minutes for the Scottish club’s reserves side in their 5-1 defeat to Dundee United’s second-strong team at St Andrews.

It has been reported that Rodgers will remain with the Falkirk squad, with manager Ray McKinnon considering making an offer.

Interestingly, if the midfielder does get a contract at the Bairns, then he will play alongside Rangers striker Zak Rudden.

Rudden joined Falkirk on loan from Ibrox club Rangers in the summer transfer window, and the 18-year-old striker could well line up alongside former Celtic trialist Rodgers soon.
