Ex-Celtic youngster Aaron Hickey is impressing at Hearts.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City are keeping close tabs on Hearts talent Aaron Hickey as they plot a move to sign him.
Hickey, 17, has hit the headlines in recent days, having scored a deflected winner for Hearts in their big Edinburgh derby with Hibernian on Sunday.
The left back was the hero for Hearts with his strike, and it seems that his progress at Hearts is attracting the interest of Premier League champions City.
Touted for a bright future, Hickey has made 12 first-team appearances for Hearts, and looks set to be the next impressive Scottish left back, with a conveyor belt of them in recent years.
His development and the ensuing interest may be frustrating to Celtic, as Hickey was on their books before leaving the club to return to Hearts.
Celtic had Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson on their books but let him go too, and much has been made of how he’s now one of the top left backs in the world having been deemed expendable by the Bhoys at a young age.

Hickey will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Robertson by becoming a big success after leaving the Celtic ranks, and that may well involve a move to the Premier League.
That may be galling for Celtic, but maybe the Bhoys should track him themselves ahead of a future move to bring him back to Parkhead – unless Pep Guardiola and co get in there first.
