Rangers have parted company with manager Graeme Murty.

Former Celtic goalkeeper Rab Douglas has blasted the Rangers board for their treatment of Graeme Murty after the Gers confirmed on their official website that he had been “relieved of his duties”.
Murty, 43, appears to have lost his job despite being contracted until the end of the season, following 4-0 and 5-0 losses to Old Firm rivals Celtic last month in both the Scottish Cup and the league.

Assistant manager Jimmy Nicholl and first-team coach Jonatan Johansson are set to take over the first-team duties until the end of the season, with the Gers still to play Kilmarnock, Aberdeen and Hearts.
Murty has been offered the chance to move back into his old job as head of Under-20’s, but Douglas believes Murty has been treated poorly by the Gers board.
Steven Gerrard remains the favourite to take over from Murty, who was in his second spell as Gers manager after replacing Mark Warburton for an interim period. He has lasted in the role all of six months.
Liverpool legend Gerrard is yet to manage at the senior level but has been in charge of a very impressive Liverpool Under-18’s side, as well as boasting when of the biggest reputations in world football.
