Ibrox favourite James Tavernier wants plenty of Rangers success, but Commons is not so sure.

Former Celtic playmaker Kris Commons has laughed off James Tavernier’s hopes of Rangers earning a treble in the near future when speaking to Sky Sports, describing his claim as “a lot of noise”.
After signing a new deal, 26-year-old Rangers right-back Tavernier claimed he wanted to win the treble at Ibrox as Celtic close in on doing so a second time around.
The Hoops need to beat Old Firm rivals Rangers on Sunday afternoon at Hampden Park to book their place in the Scottish Cup final, with the League Cup already won and the league title only a matter of time.

Commons ridiculed Tavernier’s claim, and stated that it is going to take “tens of millions” for Rangers to eventually catch up to their bitter rivals at the pinnacle of Scottish football.
“The next manager, whether it’s going to be Graeme Murty or someone else, needs to have ambitions to win the league,” Commons said. “I think it’s very ambitious. I heard Tavernier say he wants to win a treble as well.
“There’s a lot of noise coming from Rangers of what they want to do. Put quite simply, they need to invest in the squad to give them the best opportunity for that. That’s going to take tens of millions in my opinion.”

Celtic come into the match off a shaky couple of results that saw them struggle to a point at home to Dundee before edging past Hamilton 2-1, while Rangers will be buoyant after smashing Dundee 4-0 at Ibrox.
The Gers will be hoping to earn their first win since gaining promotion back to the top flight over Celtic, with Aberdeen and Motherwell doing battle in the other semi-final on Saturday.
