Celtic find themselves searching for a new manager having parted ways with boss Neil Lennon this morning.
Lennon has tendered his resignation at Parkhead after a dismal season, with Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at Ross County proving to be the final nail in the coffin.
Celtic’s recruitment has been slammed, with many believing that poor signings have resulted in Lennon’s demise with the Bhoys.
Now, Kelvin Wilson has suggested two players to The Celtic Huddle that the Bhoys should be looking to sign this summer – and both are with Premier League clubs.
The first player Wilson wants Celtic to sign is goalkeeper Fraser Forster, who is currently backup stopper at Southampton having spent last season on loan with the Bhoys.
Wilson thinks Celtic should ‘push the boat out’ to sign Forster inside the final year of his Southampton deal, believing that he has really been missed at Parkhead.
“I think it’s one of the main things this season, not getting big Fraser,” said Wilson. “The calmness he gives you, him playing behind you, you’re confident in your goalkeeper. He’s the best keeper I played with, so I’m going to praise him to the moon and back. He’s got a year left on his contract. I’d push the boat out to get Fraser because he loves Glasgow.”

The second player Wilson fancies is Ben Davies, who actually turned down a move to Celtic in order to complete a move from Preston to Liverpool.
Davies has yet to appear for Liverpool, and Wilson believes that the Reds will loan him out this summer once Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez return, believing that Celtic are the ideal home for him.
“The other one, maybe a short fix for the season, would be the boy who went from Preston to Liverpool, Ben Davies,” said Wilson. “When Van Dijk’s back in the summer, Gomez is back, they’ve got their defenders back, he’s probably going to be loaned out next year,” he added.
