Arsenal were at their flowing best in parts of Sunday’s 4-2 win over Leeds United, with Mikel Arteta no doubt impressed.
The Gunners were 3-0 up by half time as quick interplay allowed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to open the scoring, before he added a second from the penalty spot.
Hector Bellerin fired in the third, and Aubameyang completed his hat-trick to make it 4-0, with Pascal Struijk and Helder Costa adding consolations.
That took a little bit of the shine off Arsenal’s win, but some of the attacking play was outstanding – and Dani Ceballos played a key role.
The Spaniard came into the side due to Thomas Partey’s absence in midfield, partnering Granit Xhaka in the engine room.
Ceballos was superb, with his deft assist for Bellerin’s goal the highlight of a fine all-round performance that also saw him rack up three interceptions.

Ceballos has been in and out of the side this season with just 11 league starts, and Arsenal will soon face a decision on whether to try and sign him permanently from Real Madrid.
Fans on Twitter were impressed, and ex-Arsenal talent Jack Jebb – now with Dartford – has posted that he thinks Ceballos is ‘so underrated’.
The 24-year-old will now hope to keep his place in the team moving forward, and many fans may now agree with Jebb that the midfielder isn’t appreciated as much as he could be.
